We are a small alpaca ranch located just north of Princeton, Illinois on IL-26. Look for the historic red barn! 

Coming July 2022, we will be celebrating the grand opening of our on-site store. Currently, the rest of the property will remain a construction site until the spring of 2023. We will be opening in phases starting with the store, followed by the miniature railroad and eventually full property tours. At this time much of the property remains off limits, the steam trains are not running (aside from special off-site events, see our Facebook page for more info) and we will not be offering any private parties/events or tours until May of 2023! However, you will be able to interact with a small number of our alpacas and our staff will be happy to show you the engine house where we store some of our locomotives and rolling stock during store hours. After the grand opening of our store, hours will be Wednesday-Sunday from 11:00AM-5:00PM for the rest of the 2022 season. 

Coming Spring 2023, we will offer private farm tours, public open-house days, and train rides on our authentic 7 1/2” & 12” gauge coal fired steam locomotives.

**For Bachmann ©  model train products, a factory issued warranty card is provided with most of their products and must be completed per its instructions for repairs and/or replacement at Bachmann © 's discretion.

**Prices for products in our on-site store are noticeably reduced compared to our online store due to current shipping rates (as we include the cost of shipping in all our online listings) as well as to encourage folks to make the trip to visit our farm-site and explore our wonderful community of Princeton/Bureau County, Illinois.

**There is currently limited parking spaces available at our on-site store at this time due to ongoing construction/renovation throughout much of the property. Please consider carpooling or contacting Bureau County's local transit agency BPART at  https://www.ridebpart.org/. Please be advised that there is absolutely NO street parking as we are located directly off of a state highway and there is NO parking on adjacent properties as they are all private farmland. Our farm-site is clearly marked by a perimeter fence to reduce the chances of confusion or trespassing as well as to keep our guests and animals safe from highway traffic. There is also ample signage for directing guests to proper parking areas as well as marking construction and other restricted areas. 

**Our farm-site will be opening in phases starting with our onsite store which is currently set for July 23rd, 2022. Please keep in mind that with continuing supply shortages, labor shortages, shipping delays and ever rising costs of materials, as well as other factors such as the weather, the date for the grand opening of our store as well as other phases of the farm/railroad/business may be subject to change and/or delay. Once our onsite store is open, both our alpacas as well as a couple of our steam locomotives, along with some portable track and riding cars, will be made available for hire for both private and public events away from our main farm-site. Each request for private or public off-site hire will be studied for its feasibility depending on whether animals are permitted on the chosen site as well as to ensure the area can adequately and safely support our portable railroad track with its 65 foot radius curves. Following this, our next phases will include the completion and opening of our permanent  railroad which will circle the perimeter of our main farm-site. There is no current completion date set for the permanent railroad at this time.
